Helsinki


Helsinki is the capital and largest city of Finland, and lies on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, only 80 km (50 mi) north of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The city was established as a trading town by King Gustav I of Sweden in 1550 as the town of Helsingfors. Helsinki has over half a million inhabitants.
