Kingdom of Sweden
The Kingdom of Sweden is a Nordic country on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe, and has a population of 9,4 million. The country has land borders with Norway to the north-west and Finland to the north-east. Sweden has a high concentration of rock engravings throughout the country, dating from 5000 BC. Sweden emerged as an independent and unified country during the Middle Ages. About 15% of the country lies north of the Arctic Circle, and around 65% Sweden’s total land area is covered with forests. Sweden’s capital city is Stockholm, which is also the largest city.
