Jurmala is a resort city in Latvia, about 24km west of Riga. The attraction of the city hides in its 33km long white sand beach, large pine forests, romantic wooden houses and the natural border of the city – the river Lielupe. Jurmala has an official list of 414 historical buildings of Classicism, National Romanticism, and Modern styles under protection, as well as over 4000 wooden structures. The city has a population of 56 000.
