Glasgow
Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland. The city is located on the banks of the River Clyde, in West Central Scotland. The first bridge over the River Clyde at Glasgow was recorded from around 1285. The University of Glasgow was founded in 1451. Today the city is one of Europe’s top ten financial centres. Glaswegian is a dialect used widely in everyday speech in Glasgow. The city has almost 600 000 inhabitants.
